Description: Patients who present with tooth wear and aberrant anterior occlusal relationships offer challenges as well as opportunities. This webinar provides a systematic approach to diagnosing, treatment planning, and treating conditions such as end-to-end occlusions and deep overbites, to achieve esthetic and functionally acceptable outcomes. The focus will be on the interaction of overjet, overbite, and vertical dimension, as well as the role of airway and the condition of the joints.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe what needs to be evaluated when identifying the etiology of aberrant anterior relationships.
- List options for creating or reducing overjet to allow correction of anterior tooth position.
- Explain when alterations in vertical dimension may be utilized to allow for correction of anterior tooth position, and how alterations in overjet may allow the same correction.
- Discuss the sequence of the “Facially Generated Treatment Planning” process for correction.
