The ABCs of CBCT: Academic Answers, Best Practices and Compelling Cases

April 4 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EDT

Free 1 CE credit

Description:The sheer number of possible views with CBCT coupled with interpretive issues can confound users, and many guidelines and position papers have been issued. Medical radiology has a long and deep history of academic inquiry into perception metrology and the radiographic interpretive process. This webinar, using clinical cases from the presenter’s dental practice, reviews key research findings and introduces guidelines and best practices for interpreting CBCT data based on what has been learned about the perceptual and cognitive processes from medical radiology.

Disclosure:Dr. Khademi has received an honorarium from Carestream Dental for his preparation and presentation of this program.

Learning Objectives:

  • List strategies for efficiently reviewing focused-field, single-arch, half-arch, and dual-arch studies.
  • Explain the subtle perceptual and cognitive issues with image interpretation.
  • Discuss the role of explicit, tacit, and embedded history in the interpretive process.
