Success with Local Anesthesia
February 16 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EST
Each webinar will begin with a 15-minute Q&A session with the Business Advisory Board Panel discussing the most up-to-date issues facing practitioners. Then the webinar jumps straight into the main clinical presentation, below, and ends with a short Q&A session. Success with Local Anesthesia: Mandibular Arch with Kathy Bassett, BSDH, RDH, MEd, QOM
Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the relevance of the anatomy and histology of the pterygomandibular triangle 2. Identify factors that may lead to failure of common mandibular block techniques 3. Contrast the anatomical factors impacting common Halstead mandibular blocks with “High Block”, “Short Needle”, Akinosi and Gow-Gates block techniques, retromolar and PDL-IA block techniques 4. Visualize unconventional anatomical features of the mandible that may be leveraged to achieve profound anesthesia and quick onset rescue injections 5. Apply knowledge of relevant mandibular anatomy to alternative injection techniques
