RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Course Description:

The advancements in restorative dentistry are mainly due to the innovations in adhesive technology and bioactive dental materials. This course will focus on adhesives for both direct and indirect composites and the bonding of zirconia restorations. Success in adhesives can be a challenge, so we will also look at some of the pitfalls we might encounter in adhesive dentistry. We will also look at bioactive materials and what they can do to improve the longevity of dental restorations.

After completing this course, the dentist will be able to understand:

  1. Bioactive dental materials
  2. Giomers in dentistry
  3. Nanohybrid composite technology
  4. Glass ionomers for direct restorations
  5. Indirect composite restorations
  6. Proper tooth preparation for indirect composites
  7. Zirconia bonding techniques
  8. Challenges in adhesive dentistry

About Live, Interactive Webcast Continuing Education Seminars:

A live, interactive webcast seminar is similar to attending a continuing education seminar in your community, except that you attend via your computer. Each course is done live in a format that allows your participation.

Anyone who has access to a computer that can play sound can participate in an ACES webcast seminar. No special computer knowledge or equipment is required to participate in our webcast seminars.
