Oral Candidiasis: Misconceptions and considerations for diagnosis and treatment

Oral candidiasis a common, yet misunderstood disease of the oral cavity. Oral candidiasis is often considered at the exclusion of other more common entities. This presentation will clarify the most common clinical patterns of oral candidiasis and present other disease entities with similar symptomology and clinical appearance.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the most common clinical patterns of oral candidiasis
- Describe the various ways candidiasis can be diagnosed
- Describe the various treatment options for oral candidiasis
- Identify other oral disease entities whose signs and symptoms are similar to oral candidiasis

A registration refund, less a $15 fee, will be issued for cancellations received by Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Registration will remain open, however, when registering after Wednesday, January 24, 2024, NO REFUNDS will be accepted. Cancellations must be received in email to cde@dentistry.unc.edu The cancellation request must include: the name of the course, name of the person registered, name of the person requesting the cancellation, and the reason for the cancellation.
