Omnichromatics – A Single Shade Solution?

January 17 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EST

Free 1 CE credit

SAY GOODBYE TO SHADE MATCHING

Since 1956, the global dental industry has used the Classic VITA shading system from A1 to D4. This has been the standard system for all dental restorative materials, for Cements, Composites, Glass Ionomers and Temporary materials.

In 2019, a new material was launched to the industry offering a single shade of composite that was capable of spanning the 16 shade, A1 – D4 range. This unconventional new material concept, if successful, would represent a paradigm shift in the restorative arena.

Topics/Materials to be discussed:

·        Explanation of Monochromatic, Polychromatic and Omnichromatics.

·        Clarification of technology as in, “how this can be achieved”.

·        Evaluation and comparison of the two materials currently available in the marketplace.

·        An in-depth analysis of the clinical results of these unique materials along with a comparison of each of their physical properties and esthetic outcomes.

·        At the conclusion of the session, attendees will have a deeper understanding of this new category and more specifically, how this may be introduced into the practice.
