Laser Assisted Periodontal and Periimplantitis Therapy

In this FREE CE event, Dr. Hana Hobbs, DDS, MS, PA, will discuss different types of available lasers, wavelength, and modalities of treatment. Special emphasis will be placed on comparison of soft tissue versus hard tissue lasers and their use in periodontal therapy. Dr. Hobbs’ presentation includes numerous case studies and a video demonstration.


Learning Objectives:

The various types of dental lasers

How wavelength impacts the treatment of periimplantitis

Maintenance protocols for the patient post laser assisted therapy

Your Instructor: Dr. Hobbs is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has over 25 years of dental and periodontal experience. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and went on to receive her DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She attended the University of California at San Francisco where she earned her certificate in Periodontology while simultaneously earning a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology.


Dr. Hobbs has been an Assistant Professor at UNC School of Dentistry Periodontology Department since 1997 and she served as President of the North Carolina Society of Periodontist in 2014. She has presented to many study clubs and dental societies over the years on topics such as Esthetic Periodontal Treatment, Esthetic Implant Placement, Treatment of Peri-implantitis, Periodontal Disease and Diabetes Link, The New AAP Classification System, Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy for treating Periodontal Disease.
