Inducing Third Molar Agenesis Using Fully Guided Third Molar Tooth Bud Ablation (3TBA)

January 24 @ 8:00 pm 9:00 pm EST

Free 1 CE credit

COURSE SUMMARY: Fully guided third molar tooth bud ablation (3TBA) is being developed to be a safe, rapid, and effective means of preventing third molars from forming. Detailed procedure information will be presented that includes 3TBA screening and pre-op procedures, protocols for a safe 3TBA procedure, histological and radiographical characterization of the post 3TBA healing response, and an overview of ongoing human clinical trials.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Describe the benefits of early intervention in 3rd molar treatment.

Describe the anatomy-driven rationale behind guided third molar tooth bud ablation.

Describe limitations that resulted in failure of earlier attempts at third molar tooth bud ablation.

Describe the key physical surgical requirements of guided third molar tooth bud ablation that result in 100% success in animal trials.

Describe the radiographic and histological outcomes of fully guided third molar tooth bud ablation.
