Implant-Retained Crowns, Bridges and Extended Dentures

March 5 @ 8:00 pm 11:00 pm EST

$59 3 CE credits

Course Description:

As a growing number of our patients are aging and losing both teeth and bone, it has become very important to be able to identify these concerns and present patients with the best options for their situation. This course starts with the fundamentals of crown and bridge construction and then expands into full-mouth coverage with fourteen-unit bridges that may require a build-up of alveolar bone. The course discusses various implant techniques including mini-implants. Students will additionally learn the standard construction of a denture, as well as the benefits and proper use of CBCT and oral scanners to create a quicker and more accurate denture.

This course will:

  1. Review the principles to place a successful crown or bridge.
  2. Explain the four basic crown preparations and when to use them.
  3. Discuss the benefits of the horseshoe bridge and how to construct it.
  4. Explain how to successfully place implant crowns and bridges.
  5. Discuss the principles of constructing a successful denture.
  6. Overview the benefits of using CBCT and oral scans.
  7. Review which types of treatments may be best for the patient’s long-term
    success.
