For Mature Audiences Only!…Breaking the Myths of Adult Fluoridation and Caries Assessment

We know the importance of using fluoridation with our kids when their teeth are developing, but do we stress the importance with our adult population. The use of fluoride varnish benefits both younger and older patients. With our aging population we have to evaluate their risk and how we can prevent further dental issues.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the proper use of dental caries assessment forms (ADA & CAMBRA) to explain the need for fluoride treatments
• Evaluate moderate to high risk patients and be able to address alternative fluoridation therapies
• Discuss appropriate methods to reduce caries risk and explain strategies for treatment of carious lesions

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of CE Zoom, LLC and VOCO. CE Zoom is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
