Clenching: How it Relates to Periodontitis and Periimplantitis

Live, Interactive Webcast Continuing Education Course – 3 Hours Credit

Instructor: Dr. Kenneth Colerick, D.D.S.

Course Description:

We are not curing periodontal disease. The same patients keep coming back with recurring periodontal pockets. We treat them, removed the periodontal pocket, but a year later, the periodontal pockets are developing again. This course will give you a different perspective on the cause and treatment of the disease.

We will discuss the three types of periodontal disease: gingivitis, periodontitis, and chronic periodontitis.

After completing this course, the clinician will be able to:

  1. Have a better understanding of irreversible pulpitis
  2. Learn what causes alveolar bone to dissolve and how to grow it back
  3. Determine the different types of clenching
  4. Treat periodontal disease
  5. Treat a peri-implant mucositis condition
  6. Treat chronic periimplantitis

About Live, Interactive Webcast Continuing Education Seminars:

A live, interactive webinar is similar to attending a continuing education seminar in your community, except that you attend via your computer. Each course is done live in a format that allows your participation. Anyone who has access to a computer that can play sound can participate in an ACES webinar. No special computer knowledge or equipment is required to participate in our webinars. When you enroll in any ACES course, you will be sent an email with complete information on how to join the webinar and a copy of the course syllabus. At the conclusion of your live webinar, you will complete a course examination online. You will then be able to print your continuing education certificate from your computer.
