This special free webinar gives you an opportunity for a risk-free look “under the hood” of the ADHA NBR course. Webinar faculty are some of the very same experts who created portions of the course and will bring you inside the development and content of the best online exam preparation. Speakers:
Cynthia Amyot, MSDH, Ed.D., FADHA has served in a variety of positions during her 28 years of teaching at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), School of Dentistry including Associate Dean of Instructional Technology and Faculty Development, Director of the Division of Dental Hygiene, Director of Graduate and Degree Completion Studies, and Junior Clinic Coordinator. Dr. Amyot led the initiative to put the Graduate and Degree Completion programs online in the early 2000s. She has been actively engaged in portfolio assessment of competency for over twenty years. Dr. Amyot is a recipient of the university-wide Elmer Pierson Outstanding Teaching Award. In 2020, she was the recipient of the ADEA/GIES Award for Innovation – Dental Educator. Her research interests include portfolio assessment of student competency, educational methodology research, and access to care.

Jennifer Pieren, RDH, MS, FADHA is the Program Administrator and a faculty member at Youngstown State University (YSU) in Ohio and an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut. She also presents courses at national, regional, and local events on a variety of topics, including serving as a faculty expert and presenter for the American Dental Hygienists’ Association National Board Review course. Most recently, she has received YSU’s Teaching Excellence Award and YSU’s Bitonte Health and Human Services Distinguished Alumni Award. Jennifer is co-editor of the textbook, “Darby and Walsh Dental Hygiene: Theory and Practice”.

Thomas Viola, R.Ph., CCP, CDE, CPMP with over 30 years’ experience as a board-certified pharmacist, clinical educator, professional speaker, and published author, has earned his national and international reputation as the go-to specialist for making pharmacology practical and useful for all members of the dental team. As an educator, Tom has received several awards for outstanding teacher of the year. As an author, Tom has contributed to professional journals and pharmacology textbooks, and serves as a consultant to the ADA’s Council on Scientific Affairs. As a speaker, Tom has presented over 1000 informative, humorous, and engaging continuing education seminars and webinars since 2001.
